1693 No. 1: Opus Magnum, from the Latin meaning “The Great Works” now more commonly referred to as the 1693 Luxury Entertainment Group, is widely held to be the greatest, most popular, and most renowned of artisans to contribute to the contemporary social landscape.

Though intrinsic in nature, it is generally looked upon as a spiritual practice leading to the mystical union of the Self and the All, the true form where opposites unite. This union may mean the uniting of the soul with God, of the microcosm with the macrocosm, of the female with the male, or of the ego with the non-ego. However, in its most current interpretation, 1693 No. 1: Opus Magnum or “The Great Works” is a union between the often discussed, yet rarely attained virtue of all those who seek greatness, Success, and Accomplishment.

August 4th, 1693: A gentleman by the name of Pierre Pérignon set out to “create the best wine in the world”. In 1693 he accomplished that goal by creating, the world’s first champagne. We at 1693 embody that very same passion to “generate the finest events in the world”. At 1693 we are not the rule, we are the exception our events embody the magnificent ambition called luxury.

The science of color is often called chromatics. It includes the perception of color by the human eye and brain, color theory in art, and the physics of radiation in the visible range (that is, what we commonly refer to simply as Light). Picture yourself inside on a clear dark night. Low on the horizon you notice a faint smile of brilliant light which forms an arch, stretching tightly across a beautiful face as lovely as the sky. Every 100 years, as the earth is reborn, a Pink Moon can be seen across the horizon as the green flowers begin to bloom. Illuminating the night sky, it almost appears as if the Sun has taken it’s place for one evening. Though many have heard the stories of the Pink Moon, very few have had the opportunity to witness the magic with their own eyes. An event one hundred years in the making, whispered about by many but presented to only a chosen few. The 2nd edition of eyewear from Japanese retailer atmos. The sunglasses, simply called “Sunglass Beam”, is much larger than its predecessor. Available in brown or black, each with an silver engraved logo of atmos by the temple. Comes in a convenient waterproof case and retails for JP¥ 5,800 (~US$ 57).
